3D Layout Diagrams

Overview

The Finale Business Edition creates 3D layout diagrams, sometimes called "pod sheets," for your crew. These reports are detailed, visual setup instructions for the crew to set up the show. The diagrams show every mortar, rack, and pod, including the angles of the mortars and the firing system pin numbers associated with each mortar and effect. The reports give inexperienced crew members a valuable visual understanding of what they are about to set up, and give experienced crew members and the head shooter an easy way to check they work. You can email the 3D layout diagrams as a pdf to the crew before the show, so everyone is familiar with the shoot site layout and setup requirements in advanced of showing up on the day of the shoot.

An example 3D layout diagram pdf is here: example-layout-report.pdf. The first page shows a first launch position in plan view with two sandboxes, one having 8" mortars and the other 10" mortars. The next two pages show details of both sand boxes #1 and #2. The fourth page shows the second launch position in plan view, having two pods #1 and #2. The details of each pod are shown on the following two pages.
