Finale supports .mp3 and .wav music files.. Make sure your music is in one of those two formats. Also, check to make sure that the File Type Drop down box is appropriate for the particular music file you are looking for.

if its a CD first rip the album to your computer using windows media player (if your not using windows then just use the equivelent)

now you need a file converted because they are still not in the correct format

i would suggest switch sound file converter

its free and as far as i can find has no downsides like anoying bleeps on your music (what many trial products do)

check a google search for mp3 converters, it will have all you need to know
