Tips

Adding notes to cues

The cue markers themselves don't yet have notes, but you can click on any of the cue's fireworks and then click its edit button, and then enter your "field notes" in the panel near the right of the firework's edit panels (you have to scroll the white horizontal bar to get to the right-most edit panels). These notes will appear on the exported reports.

Adjusting the burst height with drag-and-drop

If you drag-and-drop shells or fountains into launch positions or angle them while in launch positions, their height is fixed according to the caliber or size of the device in order to guard against making unrealistic changes. However if you want to change the simulated height without that restriction, just drag the device off a launch position, and then drag its height control freely. Drag it back to the launch position when you are done adjusting the simulated height. This technique only adjusts the simulation, though. If you actually want to change the caliber of the shell (which will affect the simulation and the reports) select the item and then click its edit button to change its caliber.

Fine adjustment of launch position coordinate

Normally if you drag a launch position on the screen, it moves in intervals of its width (approximately 20 feet). If you want to position with more fine grained precision, hold the shift key while dragging.

Paste or insert into launch position (quickly)

If you click on a launch position and then paste, the pasted items will go into that launch position. Same with insert: click on the launch position and then click on the inventory item icon instead of drag-and-dropping. The item will go into the last clicked launch position.

Select all fireworks at a launch position by clicking launch position

You can select all the fireworks at a current launch position -- including those that are not visible at the current playhead time -- by simply clicking on the launch position.

Select all fireworks attached to a launch position

If you click on a launch position, all fireworks attached to that launch position will become selected, even if they are not visible at the current playhead position. This feature makes it easy, for example to drag all fireworks from one launch position to a different one. Just click on the first launch position, then drag all the selected fireworks en masse (by dragging any one of their trajectories or base circle) to the desired launch position.

Select multiple by holding shift

Hold the shift key while clicking on fireworks to select multiple (or drag a selection box over them in the sky or in the timeline). Edit operations will apply to all selected fireworks.
